About Happy Feet Academy Daycare
Hello, my name is Gail Winters and I own and operate a home daycare in beautiful Mount Carmel, Hamden Connecticut. I am a licensed childcare provider and I offer 24 hour care for up to 6 children per session. My certification includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (C.P.R.), First Aid, and administration of medications. I earned my degree from Gateway Community College in 2007 and recently returned to take 12 additional credits in Early Childhood Education. My husband Robert is a retired educator from Hill House High School, where he taught for 35 years. We have been married for twenty years and have a beautiful 19 year old daughter named Cassey who is currently studying Graphic Design at Uconn.
I have two assistants working with me in the daycare, Ana Baez and Anya Santos. They both have associate degrees in Early Childhood Education and have worked with children in many different settings. They each have their certification in C.P.R. and First Aid as well. I truly feel very blessed to have such loving and caring teachers. These teachers are extremely passionate about caring for young children and have been working with me for over five years.
Our day care center is designed to provide both a nurturing home atmosphere along with large dedicated areas for the children to actively learn and play. In addition, we offer a stimulating environment with spacious rooms and colors that appeal to all children. This provides a world full of imagination for children to learn, grow, and explore in. Furthermore we have a low teacher to child ratio which allows us to maintain personalized care for every child.
